Happy Fall everyone (WTF? Where was summer?).

Amazingly, it's time to start planning CM '08!! With this event growing
in age, numbers, days and general awesomeness it takes an ever
increasing amount of time to bring to fruition. The first thing we need
to do to get this party started is to name a Producer.

There are two first-steps in starting this process:
*Call for self-nomination for Producer of CM '08
*Formation of a panel to review applications. This panel will be comprised
of: the Vice-president of Ignition NW, at least one previous community-sponsored
event producer, one community member at large (non-INW board member), non-officed
INW board member OR one community member at large (non-INW)

***THIS E-MAIL IS THE CALL FOR CM LEAD PRODUCER SELF-NOMINATIONS***

The panel will be formed very soon. If you have interest in being part of this panel please
send me an e-mail at kay@ignitionnw.org I will send more info soon.

But now, the task at hand is getting some nominations for Lead Producer. Waaa-Hooo!

Below is a brief description of the job of CM Producer. If you are considering putting your
name in the hat, please consider the following points. For those of you not considering
the position, please read it anyway. This is a really big job, and the more we can all see
that and appreciate it the more we can support this person.

ON-SITE EVENT responsibilities are:
* On-site at all times during event, or delegating assistant producer lead in producer's
absence
* Physically and mentally capable of performing duties during shift times (IE, sober)
* Have at least one staff meeting (CM) during the event
* Communicate with all team leads and members
* Accessible during event
* Liaison with rangers about
-Crisis management
-Event integrity (fence hoppers- continuity of event)
-Safety of participants
* Interface with neighbors, landowners, et al

POST-EVENT responsibilities are:
* Host a post-event review with the team leads (aka the good, bad, and ugly meeting)
* Meet with the board Treasurer to get books in proper order
* Meet with the Ignition NW board to review findings of post-event review meeting,
along with financial details
* Community wrap-up newsletter including general profit/loss and budget, attendance,
and thanks
* The Producer Selection panel will reconvene to review how the production under that
individual went.

If you are interested in the CM '08 Lead Producer position please send your Event Production Resume,
a brief statement (300 words or less) of your interest and goals and any other relevant information to
me at kay@ignitionnw.org .

The nomination period is from Friday, September 21st through Friday, October 5th 11:59pm.

The full Job Description will be up on the Ignition NW site shortly and I will send that link as
soon as I can.

CM is going to RAWK this year. I'm very excited we are gettin' on the ball so early.

If you have any questions please let me know.
